Do I need an appointment?

No, walk-ins are welcome, however you may need to wait if there are other appointments scheduled at that time. If you make an appointment we will reserve that time to focus on you and your needs.

I already took a pregnancy test at home, do I need to take another test when I come in?

Home pregnancy tests may vary in their accuracy. Unless you’ve already had an ultrasound at your doctor, we will always do a pregnancy test to verify the results of your home test.

Will my insurance or my parent’s insurance be billed for an STD test?

No, our STD tests and all our services are completely free and confidential. Nothing is billed or mailed to your home.

How long will it take to get my STD test results or my pregnancy test results?

Pregnancy test results are read while you wait.

We usually have the results of your STD test within 48 hours.

I had unprotected sex last night and now I’m worried about an STD or pregnancy. How soon can I get tested?

Generally a pregnancy can’t be detected until 9 to 11 days after conception.

The incubation period for chlamydia and gonorrhea is 2 to 6 days. Testing before 6 days from the time of exposure may not be accurate.

I’m on the pill but my period is late. Could I be pregnant?

Yes, if you are late with your period you should be tested.  It is possible to get pregnant even when taking birth control pills. If you are taking an antibiotic, for instance it may make your birth control less effective.

If I’m pregnant, how can I see a doctor if I have no insurance?

We can help you apply for medical assistance. Many doctors who accept medical assistance will see you as long as you have started the application process.
