We all need some hope and encouragement, don’t we? This pandemic has affected all of us mentally and emotionally. The best source we have for encouragement is found within the pages of the Bible. God’s Word is truth and life, and getting a daily dose of it (or even more often!) brings peace to our weary souls.
Try meditating on a few Scriptures every day. Post notes around the house to keep God’s promises before your eyes and set your eyes on the One who knows you better than you know yourself. Here are a few healing Bible verses to start with:
“Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.”
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
“But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the LORD.”
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”
“Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave. Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind.”
“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.”
“But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
“But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love.”
“May your unfailing love be with us, LORD, even as we put our hope in you.”
